Douglas And Henry Joshua Kingstone Genders
Flying Officer Pilot 37633 Douglas Genders was in the Royal Air Force and died 11th September 1940 in a plane accident. He is commemorated at Poole (Parkstone) cemetery. His brother, Captain 50950 Henry Joshua Kingstone Genders was in 1st Battalion Essex Regiment. He was killed 26th August 1940 aged 21 in the East African Campaign of British Somaliland. He is commemorated at Khartoum Cemetery. They are not on our War Memorial, but were both sons of Maj. William Henry and Gertrude Maud Genders, of Port Isaac.
