George Thomas

Seaman LT/X 7719C George Thomas served in the Royal Naval Reserve (Patrol Service) on HM Trawler Thuringia. He died 28th May 1940 aged 31 when the Thuringia was sunk by a mine in operation Dynamo off the beaches of Dunkirk. He is commemorated on Lowestoft War Memorial. He was the son of Charles and Anne Thomas and husband of Dorothy Claudina Thomas, of Delabole.
