Horace May
Horace May served in the Royal Navy in the Second World War. Some of his time was spent on MTBs (Motor Torpedo Boats) sailing out of Lowestoft. He also served on Minesweepers. On one, a fellow shipmate was Tom Chadband. The ship hit a mine and sank. Tom and Horace jumped on to a rescue ship and it was reported they were the only surivivors..
