John Morcombe Hoskin

Private 5436103 John Morcombe Hoskin was in the West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales’s own) and served with the Chindits in Burma. He died 31st October 1943 aged 30 on his return from the Far East, probably from disease caught during his time in the jungles of Burma. His memorial is at St Endellion Churchyard (Grave E 180). He was the son of Ernest Alfred and s. H. Hoskin of Port Isaac.
