Noreen School Memory

Ian and Noreen Honey, 2013

Noreen Honey: The evacuee Headmaster and we had him for drawing. I wasn’t much good at that. And my brother Leonard, we had to do a telephone, no-one had a telephone really but my father had one in his office down the fishermens’ stores. So in the lunchtime he went down and he could draw lovely. He drew this lovely telephone and I took it, you’re not supposed to do that, and I passed it to all my friends in the class so that they could all do it. He never found out, the Master, that we’d copied it.
