Tom Remick

Chief Yeoman of Signals D/J 45240 Tom Remick was serving on HMS Exeter. He died 13th December 1939 aged 39 when the Exeter was attacked by the German Pocket Battleship Admiral Graf Spee in the Battle of the River Plate off Montevideo. He was one of 61 officers and ratings who lost their lives on HMS Exeter that day. He is commemorated on Plymouth Naval Memorial. He was the husband of Anne Remick, of Port Isaac.
