Leonard John Brown

Seaman LT/JX 400240 Leonard John Brown was in the Royal Naval Patrol service attached to HMS President III at Lowestoft. He died aged 19 when he was in transit to Egypt on the SS Carlier. She was attacked on 11th November 1943 by German planes off the coast of Algeria. He is commemorated on Lowestoft Naval Memorial. He was the son of Thomas John and Gertrude Brown, of Port Isaac.
